Permit The Shark
Sharks a great game fish that thrive in Biscayne Bay with the most common species being bonnet head, bulls, lemon, spinners, black tip and nurse sharks.
Sizes can range from 2’ to 8’ and they venture into water as shallow as 10” looking for prey. A technique that I uses to target these sharks is to stake out (anchoring with my push pole) in water 3’-4’ deep and put out a chum trail. As the sharks move in following the scent trail, my angler stands on the bow of the boat and tosses a large chunk bait or fresh dead fish such as jacks, mullet or barracuda in front of the scent trail. The big sharks will find the bait, swallow and move away. This is a lot of fun on 20lb gear and once the shark feels the sting of the hook the will rocket off the flat peeling drag and making the drag scream. It is at this point where my angler realizes the shear power and speed of this angry wild animal. All sharks are released after pictures are taken and allowed to continue to do their job as apex predators in Biscayne Bay.
Miami Beach shark fishing charters allows you to break away from the craziness of South Beach and do battle with the greatest apex predator in the sea. All our shark fishing charters take place on the famous Miami bonefish flats that average 3' in depth. This is up close and personal fishing that is absolutely exilirating. Few fish can be seen in clear shallow water coming up to your bait, getting hooked and having 5'-8' of raging predator peel 150 yards of line at lighting speed. This is a Miami Beach fishing charter so hop aboard, things are about to get exciting!
